Recent Events (Oakdale and the Dream about Leprechauns)

So recently I went to Oakdale for Thanksgiving. It was great -good food, got to see my grandparents, I played my sister at Modern Warfare 2 but kept losing because she had a special gun then when I got the gun I still kept losing but not as badly, didn't have any ghostly visitors at night although I was still pretty paranoid I might, and I got a few things from my room I took back with me to dads. All in all it was gravy.

Before I talk about the leprechauns I just want to mention this thing that came up about my friend Chelsie. Chels moved to Florida about a year ago and started dating/ intending to marry this guy who is in the military but staying ashore. Nbody likes the guy but Chelsie. They all say he's too controlling - that he won't let her drive his car or use his computer while he's away and since Chels doesn;'t have a job she spends most of her time at home watching t.v. If that was the case and Chelsie was truely miserable -I think she'd leave. Chelsie doesn't like being controlled and bossed around and I think she would stand up for herself and move on if she really wanted to. She isn't I the greatest place right now - pretty much broke with nothing to do - but all I can do as a friend is give my advice and support her in whatever decision she makes.

My sister Emily thinks we should fly to Florida and tell Chelsie she's making a mistake. I'm one of the few people Chelsie talks too sice she lost contact with her other friends here in California, and I think the reason she talks to me is because she knows I won't harp on her about anything. I'm not going to hold her decisions against her -it's her life to ake what she will of it. If I had a choice it would be for her to come back and find a job here, but it's her life to live.

Now for the Leprechauns . . . had a series of very vivid dreams 2 nights ago. I can tell when dreams are vivid because they replay in my mind when i wake up like a video i saw the night before. Other dreams you forget as soon as your eyes open. Lately my dreams have had a series of vivid dreams in a row every 3 or 4 nights or so. The last series started withme running away from Vampires. I don;t remember the dream -I just remeber waking up thinking: Why am I running away from vampires? They don't scare me.

The second dream I had started with a boy wandering down a sidewalk when he tripped and fell backwards near a bush. The bush rattled like there was smething in it. Something cut his face and pretty soon these small barnacles started to grow over his face. They kept spreading. He ran home and told his mom. He found a doll house/jewelry box along the way. They opened it and the boy gave some jewlery to his mom. They found a note saying the box was a gift because the boy was now cursed.

After that the boys realities kept shifting. At one point he as dancing with a girl on a white floor he kept sinking into while paint was being splattered everywhere. At some point the boy found the leprechaun who had cursed him and fought him. The boy gouged his eyes out and held them and told the leprechaun if he wanted his eye back he would have to remove the curse. The leprechaun did and the boy was freed. It was then that I became aware that the boy was actually a rag doll in a toy store and his family were dolls as well.

At some point the leprechaun came back. The curse was back on and he started messing with the boys realities again. He told the boy his ultimate goal was to improve the world, but occasionally he liked to mess with people and play jokes. The boy felt better knowing the leprechaun wasn't trying to hurt him -just play jokes on him. After a few more realities I woke up. It was a weird dream. I guess I'm a weird dreamer.

Dreams

My dreams have been really vivid and strange lately. Maybe it's a side-effect of the Zoloft. I don't know.

I already told you about the troll dream I had. Most dreams I don't feel compelled to write about because they're usually not that interesting/ memorable/ or vivid. But for some reason, these dreams I've been having lately are.

Last Wednesday night I had a dream about illegal aliens. The dream started with two alien that looked like the ones from the Halo game or ginat salamanders. The two aliens were on the front porch of the home of a third alien. The two aliens were harrassing the third saying that they would turn him into the authorities if he didn't comply with their demands. The third alien bolted and tried to run away from them. He ended up getting near a busy street when a helocopter flashed t's light down and started hovering overhead. The third alien hid in a bush while the two that had been chasing him ran on into a park that ha a lot of cats gathered around. The two aliens changed their appearance into cats. The police showed up and grabbed two cats. "Which one is the alien?" one cop asked. Another cop looked at one of the cats and said, "This one has a brown spot on its face, but a gray paw. This is the alien." The cat was then thrown in the back of the police car to be taken to the station to be skinned alive so they could find the alien. I don't know whether it as a real cat or an alien, but it was an upsetting dream. The dream ended with a cop holding agun to another man's head telling him to confess to being an alien. The man said he wasn't an alien and his friend who was there ried to vouch for him, but the poilceman pulled the trigger. The man was shot in the head, but did not die instantly. The cop was mocking him as blood dripped from his mouth.

Last Thursday night I had 3 dreams - none good. The first dream started with me setting up for a friends birthday party. I made candy and helped decorate - so did my sister. The party was fine, but afterwords when the place had cleared and army of zombie kids showed up. I didn't know what to do. Then someone pulled up in a onster truck and said "Get in!" I got in the monster truck and the guy started to drive away. We were then tailgated by 2 army officials in a tank. We kept throwing grenades at them, kind of like in a Halo game. Eventually our car broke down and we had to fight them. I shot at one of the officers with a pistol and it felt like being in video game. I hoped the guy driving the monster truck would have a wepaon or fight, but he did nothing. I then had to kill the other officer with a rifle I picked up. After all that I thought we were safe, but then the zombie kids showed up. I turned my back to them, too tired to fight. As someone grabbed me buy the shoulder, I woke up. That was my first dream.

My seconds dream involved 2 seriel kilers. The first was a man who killed a woman in a house of mirrors. A cop came buy the house I was staying in to warn us a seriel killer was on the loose and to check the house to make sure he wasn't there. We said fine and my friends and I stayed in a closed room with about 8 doors around it watching t.v. I went to go check on the cop and found him dead. I then shut all the doors a told everyone to get a weapon. My weapon was a heavy pillow. When someone knocked on a door to get in I opened it ready to slap my pillow against anyone i didn't recognize. After a while we got a call saying the coast was clear. We went outside and stood in the driveway. Suddenly someone pointed to a man walking down the street and said, "That's him!" The man started running, but no one chased after him. So that's when i started running after him. I changed into a man and ran after the killer until I had him cornered. Then I beat him up - possibly killing him. Then i went back to everyone saying I killed the killer, but then they told me there was another seriel killer on the loose. The dream then flashed to the seriel killer, who was a woman with ratted hair and scraggly clothes. She was on the 8th floor of an apprtment conplex that had a huge balcony. She was making a voodoo potion in a cauldrin. Her daughter was helping her. Then she turned to her daughter and said, "I sense that you no longer believe what i'm doing is right and you want to turn me into the police." The daughter denid it, but it was true. The woman then made a spell to make her daughter commit suicide. The daughter did and the woman acted like she was sad about it when everyone showed up. Then I came along to deliver something to the woman's appartment. The woman essentially took me hostage and told me to sit on a couch and not move. I sat still and tried to stay calm. She was coo coo for coco puffs. She started throwing things around and smashing things. Then she calmed down and started talking to me as if we'd known each other for years. At one point somebody else came to he appartment and she took that person hostage. Then I found out I had Oreo cookies and the woman asked if she could have some. I gave her some and then she gave me some cookies. I hoped they weren't poisoned. Then woke up.

My third dream began with me at an entrance to a parking structure. The road to get in it was sloped upward and there wereabout 20 white barrels that I thought were filled with water at the top rolling down towards me. Then the voice of a scientist came out of nowhere and said that the barrels where filled with a chemical called "pvilum" that would make anyone who dank it turn violent against other people. He planned on putting the liquid in water bottles and contaminatingthe population. I tried to stop the barrels from rolling down. Some crashed into cars. I didn't want the barrels to spill out because I thought the water would trickle down into the main water source. I ended up wheeling the barrels into my mom's garage -don;t know how i got to my mom's house but i did. I figured they would be safe out of site in the garage. then that dream ended.

It was a busy night. Very random and full of lots of not-so-happy dreams.

Zoloft

So I've been taking Zoloft for about a month now. I have social anxiety - which has sucked tremendously. Zoloft is suppose to help.

The first couple days of taking the pill made me nausious, which is a common side-effect. You should take it in the morning with food. The medicine also made me kind of tired for the first week.

After tha things were fine for a while. Then about a week or 2 ago I had 3 nights in a row with lack of sleep. The first night I lost 4 hours of sleep and the second night I lost 5. I woke up in the middle of the night unable to go back to sleep. Now I just take tylennol pm if that happens.

Other han that there haven't been any other side effects - except for decreased interest in "activities of a certain nature". Lust is no longer an issue.

I've noticed within the past week that it has been easier to socialize with people. I'm not a magician at it or anything, but the nervousness I usually have has melted away and I feel more relaxed and in control.

So that's been my experience so far. My dosage has just been upped so we'll see how that goes.

Trolls . . .

Had a dream about Trolls last night.




Trolls . . . they’re out there . . .

In my dream, I was in a big bedroom putting away toys when I came across a blue-haired troll doll. For some reason I decided to abuse it, so I threw it up against the wall underneath the bed. Then the troll got up and jumped a couple inches.
My friend came in the room and I was like, “Oh my God, the troll moved!” And she was like, “Really let me see.” She grabbed the troll and held it. Then she placed it on the ground. It didn’t move. She looked and me and said “Huh I guess it doesn’t want to move.” I said, “That’s because you didn’t abuse it like I did.” Then she left.
Then I grabbed the troll again and threw it by its hair against the wall. It stood up and moved again. Then I said, “It moved! I knew it!” Trolls . . .
The rest of the dream was spent with me being paranoid the troll was going to seek vengeance while I was asleep. I also talked with other people about their dreams in my dream but decided my dream was more interesting because it involved Trolls . . .

Yayz

Alright much to talk about. Went to SJ Toastmasters today, feeling pretty good. I was focused and present throughout the meeting. The irst person I talked to was a new member named Britney. She is working at a dry-wall company and took toastmasters when she was in college. I helped her figure out how the time- keeping machine worked.

Josephine, another member, asked me to help her record her speech with a hand-held recorder. Josephine's speech was on the play "The Little Mermaid". She spoke about the movie and the story while also singing songs from it.

Then Bethany asked me to evaluate her evalutation ofJosephine's speech. That's the interesting thing abt Toastmasters. The speechs and the people critiquing the speechs are critiqued. Bethany did a good job commending Josephine for her use pf gestures and voices while also suggesting she not stare at the audience during the dialogue from the movie - as you would watching a seen unfold.

My favorite speeches were Ashkan's because he talked about himself and the various things he likes to do which include physics, surfing, listening to classic rock, and snow boarding. I also liked Dave's speech because he talked about the book "Into th Wild", which is a book my sister has talked about relentlessly.

At the end of the meeting I talked to Dawn whoworks at a stem-cell lab if she could help my sister at all because she wants to become a genetisist. I think Dawn could really help her out.

All in all pretty exciting day. Voted last night. Yes on Props for environmental protection and renewable energy resources. Yes on Prop 19 to legalize marijuana because someone was discussing I and mentioned that we could then grow hemp, which is like bamboo part 2 in terms of the rate it grows and its eco-friendly. It can be used for paper and clothes. What's more Californian than that?

I will say that even if the law passes, it will not be upheld- not for very long anyway- because the federal government will trump laws any sate passes to legalize marijuana for recreational use. The federal law applies all states and one state raising its nd saying they should be treated differently isn't going to change anything -even if the state is widely known to be the "Holland of America" that has essentially socially legalized the use of marijuana.

The only way the change can be made is if California and every other state vote to allow California to legalize it and the majority wins. Then the federal government will have to take it into consideration. It's the government by the people, For the People. If the majority has salient reason to allow California to leagaize marijuana the government should respect that.
