Busyness
Life kind of sucks right now. 9/26/09. Shool has started. Senior year of college. Future impending. I have to give a presentation on Charle Babbage next Thursday, make a character on illustrator next Monday, work on clay peice next Tuesday a quiz Thursday and Friday, multiple projects coming to head in the next 2 to 3 weeks. The only person I feel more sorry for right now is Charles Babbage. I got his name for the presentation and I was like, "who is this?". I asked Kari, my step-mom who works at Cisco, if she knew who he was after I found out and she said "no". Turns out Charles Babbage is the forefather of the computer. He invented a machine that was the basic foundation for the computer people would create years later. Wikipedia told me he invented his machine in 18-something (the 19th century - it was a brief trip to wiki-land). Then Charles wife died and he fell into a depression and didn't really finish his machine. I think it's kind of sad that we live in he Silicon Valley and no one knows Charles Babbage - The George Washington of the computer world. Not to mention the fact that we use computers almost everyday in some form or another - like now. We owe a lot to this man and few people even know of his existence. Yet we all know who Marie Antoinette was. Injustice.
